Host anything

As we've already covered, Compute Engine provides the highest level of control of all compute options on Google Cloud. The direct control of VMs allows teams to host a much broader class of systems, including entire platforms such as Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry (CF), and Apache Mesos. This opens the door for complex hybrid cloud strategies where cloud providers can be largely abstracted away from running applications. Additionally, the ability to run virtually any operating system, including Microsoft operating systems, means Compute Engine enables teams to run services on Google Cloud that would not otherwise be possible.
